This jumper is turning into a Saga. Officially.
I finished the sleeves, I sewed the shoulder seams, I thought "these armholes and neck look a bit big", and that was the end of the Snug pattern.
I have to say that this photo makes it look a lot less awful than when I look at myself in the mirror but I just wasn't happy with it. The shape... the guage... the arm and neck holes...
So much as I hate pulling out yarns with little ply (er, have I said that before?) I'm pulling it out and re-re-knitting it. I will not be offended completely understand if you go and read someone else's more interesting post at this point.
I trawled Ravelry and found this which (hurrah!) is written for Sidar Big Softie. I've already reknitted the sleeves and am feeling happier. I'm knitting down a mm, by which I mean I'm using 9mm and 7mm needles rather than the 10mm and 8mm on the yarn ball band (and pattern) because I do tend to knit loosely but it does feel a lot softer than the Snug (which I think I was struggling to feel comfortable with on 7mm for the stocking stitch).
